Movie Review: Shrek 1 2 and 3

In this first of this series we are taught a moral tale but don't mind so much. Mike Myers completely delights voicing the grumpy green ogre to the foil of Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz. They hold their own in this verbal fencing match where we're lead by an unlikely hero, on a fractured fairy tale. Let us all accept the ogre inside and live happy ever after.

Same characters and voice actors (plus Julie Andrews, John Cleese and Antonio Banderas) This throws in some fantasy elements from other stories, but essentally tells the same tale of self acceptance we learned in the first film. I enjoyed it, thought have no intention of ever seeing it again.

This one told a different story of teaching a young man to accept his responsibilities, but again, it fell short of the first. Nothing stood out and I pretty much yawned through it. I dd like a little of the special features where the filmmakers used story boards to tell scenes that were never produced. It kind of brought me into the movie making process.
