Movie Review Shipping News

The subtle dysfunctional innards of these characters unfold before our eyes. Brilliantly acted by Kevin Spacey, Julianne Moore, Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett. Spacey leads as an abused soul who moves his cranky aunt and daughter to his ancestral home and starts to find himself. He takes a job as a reporter at a tiny Newfoundland newspaper and finds comfort in a local woman.

Quite a lot of adult themes, but if you like believable characters and top notch acting, pick it up on DVD in Coos Bay and North Bend, VHS also in Dora. The novel it's based on is also available on CD and in print at many of the branches.
