Forest Whitaker's performance won him the much deserved Oscar for his portrayal as Idi Amin. On talk shows the actor is shy and humble, on screen, you can just feel the woosh of energy emanating from him. A Scottish physician finds himself charmed by the charismatic Ugandan leader, until madness and paranoia drive Amin into violent outbursts.
